Assembly

1. Place the two cross supports (A) horizontally in front of you, with holes facing up.

2. Locate the two rear legs with the blocks attached (B), and set these perpendicular to the cross supports. The blocks should be at the top, facing outward.

3. Attach the Lower Cross Support to the Rear Legs: Drop a barrel nut into each hole of the bottom cross support at (1). Place a 2” truss screw through the each of the rear legs (B) at (2) and tighten. Repeat for the other rear leg (B).

4. Place the front legs (C) (pins facing up) on the outside of the rear legs.

5. Drop a barrel nut (3) into each hole of the upper cross support at (3), then place a 3” truss screw through both legs at (4) and tighten into the upper cross support. Repeat for the other rear leg.

6. From the outside of the assembly on the right side, slip the 3/16” x 1 1/4" carriage bolt through the square hole in the metal support bar (D), with the bend going in as shown in the diagram. Place a 3/16” washer on the bolt. Slide the bolt through the front leg (C) at (5). Place another 3/16” washer on the carriage bolt, then a lock nut, and hand tighten.

7. From the inside of the assembly on the right side of the floor stand, slide the 1/4” x 1 1/2" carriage bolt through the rear leg (B) at (6), add a 1/4” washer and a 1/4" hex nut and tighten the nut until the square flange of the bolt is pulled into the wood on the inside of the leg. Place the unattached end of the metal support bar on the 1/4" bolt and tighten with a wing nut (6). Now, go back and use a wrench to tighten the lock nut on other end of metal support bar.

8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the other side of the assembly.

9. Tighten all the bolts. Place the loom on the stand by lining up the pins on the top of the stand in the four holes on the underside of the loom.

To Retrofit an Older Table Loom for the New Floor Stand

If you have an older model table loom, without holes in the underside of the base, you need to drill these holes in your loom, as follows:

1. Remove the castle from the loom and place the loom upside-down on a firm surface.

2. Drill 4 holes into the loom base, using the wooden guide provided. Align the guide firmly against the inside of the table loom leg. For the 4 shaft loom, use end A only. The 8-shaft loom has a larger frame, so the holes at the rear of the loom are farther from the back legs. Therefore, use end A for the holes at the front of the 8-shaft loom and B for the holes at the rear of the 8-shaft loom. (see diagram below).

4. Drill each hole with 5/16” drill bit to a depth of 3/4” .
