Betty Paepke Wins Big at Estes Park Wool Market

Betty Paepke’s 90% Huacaya alpaca and 10% silk noil  2-ply yarn

Schacht is populated with many talented fiber enthusiasts. We’d like to celebrate and congratulate our head shipper, Betty Paepke, for her impressive win at the Estes Park Wool Market this past June. Betty not only won the Judge’s Choice Award, she came home with the People’s Choice as well.

Her beautiful yarn of dark Huacaya alpaca flecked with blue and lavender silk noil is soft and supple. It’s shown here with a sample of the fabric intended for a 40’s style jacket. Look for Betty’s article in an upcoming Spin-Off where she’ll share more about how she created the yarn and jacket.

You go Betty!!!!!
