It's incredibly satisfying to make things from your handspun yarn, whether you choose a project and spin yarn for it, or spin and then want to find the project. In two class sessions, we'll consider yarn design from opposite directions. On the first day, we'll cover spinning yarn for a project: what qualities does the yarn need to have for a scarf versus a baby garment or socks? On the second day, we'll learn how to choose the right project for yarn you've already spun: how color will play out, how the yarn's structure will affect the fabric, whether you have enough yarn.
