Schacht wins the TNNA Business Innovation Award 2011

I just want to let you know that we won The National Needlearts Association BIA award in the wholesale category for our Cricket Loom and Cricket Program. We are just thrilled to have our cute-as-a-bug loom recognized as well as our Cricket Club on ravelry and now through participating Schacht dealers.

In case you don’t know, our Cricket Loom is our friendly, easy-to-use rigid heddle loom. It is simple yet rugged, with a 10 inch weaving width. The Cricket Loom comes as a kit with everything needed to weave, including 2 balls of yarn. We also have a special tote bag made for us by Mayan Hands in Guatemala. The Cricket Loom comes with an 8-dent reed, but 5, 10, and 12 dent reeds are also available, as well as a special Cricket pick-up stick.

If you think knit night, then you have the basic concept of what the Cricket Club is all about. Mostly, it’s a time to gather with other like minds to share ideas, get to know other weavers, and…weave! Check with your favorite LYS to see when their Cricket Club meets (you can search for Schacht dealers on our website On line, check out the Cricket Club on ravelry.

And….happy 4th!
