Inkle looms are great for weaving belts and bands. They're perfect for start-up weaving programs because they require little additional equipment, are easy to use and understand, and don't take much storage space. We build our inkle looms from hard maple for years of heavy use.
The Schacht inkle loom has one open side for easy warping. Adjust warp tension with the tension bar and knob. Warps can be up to 4.5" wide and 8.5' long. Schacht's belt shuttle is included with the inkle loom. It has one beveled edge, which is great for holding yarn and for beating the weft.
