Louët Irish Tension Flyers

These flyers fit Irish tension wheels that we currently make. Some also fit older Irish tension wheels:

• The standard Irish Tension flyer comes in lacquered and unlacquered styles, with sliding guides or hooks. The flyer has a 13 mm orifice. These flyers are suitable for all Irish tension spinning wheels except the S70, S71, and S90. For older spinning wheels with whorls on both sides (with a groove on both sides), you need the bulky flyer or art yarn flyer.
• Unlacquered flyers match the S17 and older unfinished wheels S15 and S16.
• The bulky flyer with hooks will accommodate the current bulky bobbin. It fits older wheels from the 1980s and early 1990s where bobbins had one whorl on each end. It has a 13mm orifice.
• The art yarn flyer has an orifice and wire sliding guides of 20 mm. We have inserted a plastic sleeve inside the wire sliding guides for smoother travel of bulky yarns. This flyer is optimal for spinning art yarns with large thickness differences, textures, and combinations of materials. The art yarn flyer fits all our Irish tension spinning wheels (except S70, S71, S90, and the very first S10 spinning wheels) and the Victoria Art Yarn Kit.
• The high speed flyer has sliding guides and an orifice of 10mm. This flyer works with all Irish tension spinning wheels except the S70, S71 and S90.
