Two hex bolts hold the reed in the pivot beater. Bolts comes up through the wood beater bottom, along the side of the reed, then through the beater top where thumb screws attach.

This kit does not include the wood beater sides or the brace that attaches to the castle and allows the beater to swing. 

How to Install
  1. Remove the reed from the beater.
  2. If necessary, remove the old beater sides: detach the thumb nuts from the hex bolts, then remove the hex bolts from the beater bottom.
  3. Install the new sides: Insert two 5-1/2" hex bolts through the underside of the beater bottom, then through the beater top. Secure the hex bolts, beater top, and beater bottom with two plastic 1/4-20 thumb nuts.
