Cotter pins lock clevis pins or rods into place.

The Matchless needs one cotter pin per treadle. You can also buy the footman kit, which includes the cotter pin.
The Winding Station uses four cotter pins. You can also buy the spool rod kit, which includes two cotter pins to secure the rod.
The Arras Treadle Kit uses two cotter pins for the transfer rod. You can also buy the hardware pack for the transfer rod.
