You can install the side without any tools, though it's easier to use a #2 Phillips screwdriver.

To weave at full width, you may need to remove the plastic spacers from the sides prior to re-assembly.

1. Insert the screw through the frame bottom, a plastic spacer, and the metal rod.
2. Insert the knob through the reed frame top, a plastic spacer, and into the metal rod.
3. Tighten the knob on the frame top; you may need to hold the screw in place with a screwdriver or your finger.
