Fence Post Scarf - Blue Sky Fibers Collaboration
Designed by Benjamin Krudwig
We love working with Blue Sky Fibers, so when they debuted their new Eco-Cashmere and Woolstok Jumbo, we knew we had to weave with it. I came up with this fun, textured scarf that combines two very different sizes of yarn. Our variable dent reed made it all possible.

Directions
Warping: Sley reed sections with Eco-Cashmere, then place one warp-length of Woolstok Jumbo on the each of the edges and through the middle of the two 8-dent sections for a total of 3 warps.
Weave with Eco-Cashmere for 2.5" then place a 10" section of Woolstok Jumbo. Note: on the next pick of Eco-Cashmere, be sure to capture your selvedge edge.
Repeat this process along the whole warp, ending with a few picks of Eco Cashmere to secure the final pick of Woolstok Jumbo.
Finishing: Fringe twist the Eco-Cashmere using two groups of 2 (you'll have 2 groups of 3 in each Eco-Cashmere section. Trim Woolstock Jumbo ends to same length as twisted fringe. Hand wash in warm water to full. Squeeze out excess water by rolling in towel, hang or lay flat to dry.

About Blue Sky Fibers
Blue Sky Fibers started as a pet project, of sorts. Shortly after graduating college, owner/founder Linda Niemeyer's curious preoccupation with Alpacas led to her buying one. Soon Linda found herself with a lot of yarn on hand. She took it to a nearby yarn store, which was willing to buy and sell it. And the rest, as they say, is history. Today Blue Sky Fibers is known worldwide for its consciously crafted collection of high-quality natural fibers and patterns. One can only imagine how things might have turned out differently had Linda been obsessed with giraffes instead.
About Eco-Cashmere and Woolstok Jumbo - from the Blue Sky Fibers blog:
Eco-Cashmere, a DK weight luxury yarn is created from the fleece of cashmere goats and produced by an Italian family-owned mill. A blend of 50% recycled cashmere and 50% virgin cashmere, this deliciously soft, good-for-the-earth yarn reinforces our commitment to quality yarns and environmentally-conscious crafting. Eco-Cashmere is available in eight colors.
Woolstok Jumbo is created from the fleece of Peruvian highland sheep. This extra bulky yarn is perfect for plush, quick knits. Size-up the fun to make wraps, blankets, hats, baskets and more. Woolstok Jumbo is soft yet sturdy with a braided construction. The introductory patterns are complimentary and use a variety of techniques from crocheting, to big needles and even arm-knitting.
