When we released the 10" Cricket rigid heddle loom in 2008, the ratchet dogs were connected to the inner face of the right loom side. The ratchet gears on the warp and cloth beams also sat inside the loom. It is not possible to change the placement of ratchet gears and ratchet dogs. You can replace the ratchet gear and ratchet dog if they break.
In 2010, we changed the loom design: ratchet dogs and ratchet gears moved to the outer face of the right side. All 15" Crickets have ratchet dogs and gears on the outside of the loom.
