- Caron Simply Soft Heathers (100% acrylic; 250 yds/5 oz), 640 yds of Grey Heather
- Caron Simply Soft (100% acrylic; 315 yds/6 oz) 340 yds of Pagoda (teal)
- Caron Simply Soft Marled (100% acrylic; 250 yds/5 oz), 200 yds of Pagoda Marlgoda) (plied white, teal, and gray)

Directions
Warping and Weaving
- When you weave each square, wrap the yarn around the pins 6 times (instead of 5) so you have extra length for sewing squares together. Weave in the starting tail.
- Using the Pagoda color, weave 40 squares in plain weave as shown in the Zoom Loom manual.
- Using
the Pagoda Marl color, weave 24 squares in plain weave as shown in the Zoom
Loom manual.
- Using the Grey Heather color, weave 4 squares in the Raised Square pattern.
- Using
the Grey Heather color, weave 72 squares in the Float pattern.
Assembly
- Begin by placing all the tails in the lower left corner of the square—this will help ensure that you have enough yarn for sewing together.
- Lay
out one row of the squares as shown in the diagram.
- Join
the first row of squares using a double overcast stitch, with all the stitches
on the same side of the row. Refer to Margaret Stump's website for information
on this stitch.
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each row of the design. If you'd like, use paper squares and safety pins to label each row.
- Lay the rows out following the diagram, so they create the full blanket.
- Sew the rows together using a double overcast stitch, with all the stitches on the same side of the fabric. If you'd like, use safety pins to pin together rows as you are working on them.
- Weave
in the tails from stitching squares together.
- Trim all tails flush with the fabric.
Finishing
- Soak the finished piece in a bucket of cool water with fabric softener for half an hour.
- Put the blanket in the dryer on the spin cycle or roll in a towel to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry.
